Packing Materials
There is not much use shipping something if it isn't going to arrive in good condition. After selecting a box, you need to protect your stuff.
Bubble Pack
Bubble pack is great protection when you can wrap it
around things, like glassware, picture frames, other boxes. It protects the item, but
doesn't keep it from rattling around.
Peanuts
Peanuts are the great filler material, but they may not
be suitable for heavier products that tend to shift toward the bottom of the package while
in transportation. We sell 'em buy the bag or in just the right amount to top off your
box.
Paper
This is the crumpled kraft paper that is often used when
moving dishes. It comes in pads of 50 or so sheets. Paper is only suitable for lighter
items. It tends to flatten when used as cushioning for heavy items
Foam
Coming soon to The Box Co. is a foam-in-place system. Two
chemicals are sprayed into plastic bags surrounding your item. The chemicals combine and
form a foam shell around the contents, protecting it and keeping it from rattling around.
Very cool and not very expensive. For high volume shipping, a cast of an item can be made
to generate custom foam inserts for boxes to make the process even more efficient.
